WORCESTER - A search warrant led to the arrest of three men in Worcester on Thursday on drug charges.
Police were conducting surveillance of a Hooper Street apartment which they had a search warrant for, when they observed Jerry Osires-Munoz, 29, of Worcester, enter the passenger side of a Chevy Trax operated by Barry MacLean, 48 , of Worcester. Police tracked the vehicle to Lincoln Plaza, where they saw what they believed was a drug transaction with a third man, Robert Mele, 44, of Worcester.
Mele ran but was quickly apprehended. He had a bag of what the police believed to be cocaine in his possession.
Police found Osires-Munoz to be in possession of cash and multiple bags of what they believed to be cocaine and fentanyl.
During the execution of the search warrant, police say they located two bags each with over 800 grams of fentanyl. They also discovered 120 smaller bags of fentanyl, 64 grams of cocaine, cash, digital scales, cutting agents, and packaging materials.
Osires-Munoz faces charges of:
MacLean faces charges of distribution of a Class B substance and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws.
Mele faces charges of Possession of a Class B Substance, Tampering, and Resisting Arrest.
