WORCESTER – The Worcester County St. Patrick’s Day Parade was postponed by two weeks and for good reason — Sunday looks like it could be a slippery mess.
The parade was supposed to kickoff Sunday morning, but according to the National Weather Service [NWS], Worcester could see anywhere from a coating of snow to up to three inches — along with sleet — between 5 AM and 8 AM on Sunday.

The NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 2 PM on Sunday. NWS advises area residents that roads will become slippery and their will be reduced visibility while traveling.
The snow and sleet will change to a period of freezing rain and it will continue to rain through the evening.
