WORCESTER – A crash involving a pedestrian sent a toddler to a local hospital on Monday, June 24.
Police responded to a report of a child struck by a vehicle near 243 Lincoln St. at around 9:30 PM.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers located a small crowd near a toddler suffering from injuries related to being struck by a motor vehicle.
Witnesses told police the young girl had run out into the street before being involved in the crash.
A nurse at the scene assisted officers and firefighters to provide medical attention to the girl until EMS arrived and transported her to a local hospital.
According to the Worcester Police Department, the one-year-old girl is in stable condition and receiving treatment for a head injury.
The Worcester Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit investigated at the scene of the crash.
Police did not announce any charges or arrests related to the incident.
