WEBSTER – A traffic stop for a suspended license in Webster led to several drug charges for two individuals on Wednesday, June 3.
Nathan Couture, 22, Webster, is known by police to have a suspended license. An officer saw Couture driving a vehicle with a female passenger and pull into a convenience store.
When the couple returned to the vehicle, the female drove it away.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver, Jessica Kell, 25, Uxbridge, as the owner of the vehicle.
The investigation led to the discovery of 25 Gabapentin pills, Suboxone Strips, 30 Morphine pills, 2 bags of what was believed to be Crack Cocaine, 3 pills of what was believed to be Ecstasy, and $703.
Couture and Kell were both charged with:
- Three Counts of Possession of a Class B substance with the intent to Distribute
- Possession of a Class A Substance with the Intent to Distribute
- Possession of a Class E Substance with the Intent to Distribute
- Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Law
Bail for Kell was set at $10,040
Couture was also charged with:
- Possessing a Class B Substance – to wit a Subsequent Offense
- Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license
Couture was arrested on Friday, May 29, on three counts of Possession of a Class B Substance, as well as two counts Wanton Destruction of Property under $1200, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and an outstanding warrant.
Bail for Couture was set at $25,040
