Trailer Released for Documentary on Life of Neil Fingleton

On what would have been Neil Fingleton’s 40th birthday, Lone Pine Pictures released the trailer for Big Smooth, a documentary on Fingleton’s life on Friday, December 18.

Fingleton, a Durham, England native, moved to Worcester in 1997 when he was 16-years-old. He attended Holy Name Central Catholic High School [now St. Paul Diocesan] and helped lead the Napoleons to the 1999 District 1 Boys Basketball Championship.

The 7’7″ Fingleton was named a McDonald’s High School All-American and would go on to play two seasons at the University of North Carolina before transferring to Holy Cross and coming back to Worcester. He graduated from Holy Cross in 2004.

Later in life, Fingleton would turn actor and have significant roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron, X-Men: First Class, and would reach a level of stardom in his role as the giant “Mag the Mighty” in Game of Thrones on HBO.
