Two Arrested in a Stolen Vehicle by Shrewsbury Police

SHREWSBURY – Shrewsbury Police received a “be on the lookout” alert from Worcester Police around 11 AM on Monday, March 29. The report indicated the involvement of a white 2017 Nissan Rogue in an attempted larceny at a Worcester postal facility.

Worcester police also reported the owner of the Nissan reported it stolen on September 20, 2020.

A short time after receiving the report, a Shrewsbury Police officer identified the vehicle and engaged in a traffic stop near Rt. 9 and South St.

The occupants of the vehicle, Johnny Pham, 20, and Kelly Nguyen, 18, both of Worcester, were arrested.

Pham faces charges of:

  • Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle
  • Conspiracy
  • Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (double edged knife)
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle with Suspended License.

Nguyen faces charges of Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Conspiracy.
