WORCESTER – Two joint operations by Worcester Police Vice Squad and Massachusetts State Police (MSP) seized over 400 Grams of Heroin on Thursday.
After Officers witnessed 25-year-old Jose Nunez-Feliz of Providence conduct a transaction on Fifth Ave., they followed him to Maxwell Court. When officers approached the vehicle Feliz sped away, after colliding with the side of a police car.
Feliz later crashed into the rear of a building on Maxwell St. and the vehicle stopped.
More than 50 baggies of heroin were found in the vehicle and in Feliz’s pockets.
At a subsequent surveillance at 26 Jefferson St., 33-year-old Esmelin Fajardo of Providence was observed entering the first floor apartment and leaving after a short time.
Fajardo noticed undercover police and ran behind a building on Jefferson St. After they stopped the suspect 340 grams of heroin was located behind the building.
A search of the Jefferson St. apartment found multiple bags of heroin, digital scales, cash and other paraphernalia.
Nunez-Feliz was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Malicious Destruction of Property, Resisting Arrest, Operating Negligently, Failure to Stop for Police, Distribution of Class A Substance and Trafficking in Heroin.
Fajardo was charged with Trafficking in Heroin.
