Two Teens Arrested in Worcester for Firearms Charges

WORCESTER – Police engaged a vehicle for a traffic stop on Salisbury St. on Saturday, January 9, leading to two teens facing firearms charges.

Police engaged the vehicle in the parking lot of St. Mary’s church around 3 AM. The driver, a 17-year-old juvenile, fled the scene on foot and was later found hiding under brush on the property of Assumption College.

During the investigation, police located a loaded firearm in the vehicle the juvenile was driving .

The passenger in the vehicle, Nathan Russel, 19, of Worcester, faces the following charges:

  • Trespassing
  • Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
  • Carrying a Firearm without a License
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card

The juvenile driver faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
  • Improperly Storing a Large Capacity Firearm
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
  • Carrying a Firearm without a License
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Disturbing the peace.
