WORCESTER – A man arrested for an active warrant faces new firearms charges.
Officers received information on the location of Andre Tyndale, 28, who had an outstanding warrant.
At around 8 PM on Monday, Sept. 23, officers stopped a vehicle with Tyndale seated in the back seat.
Police ordered Tyndale out of the vehicle and arrested him for the outstanding warrant. As they removed Tyndale from the vehicle, officers located a firearm under the seat.
The firearm, a ghost gun without a serial number, was loaded, with one round in the chamber.
Tyndale does not have a license to carry a firearm.
Along with charges related to the warrant, Tyndale faces new charges of:
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License;
- Unlawful Carry of a Firearm;
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID; and
- Improper Storage of a Firearm.
The operator of the vehicle, and the other passengers, were not charged.
