UXBRIDGE – A driver was killed in a single-vehicle accident on River Road in Uxbridge on Wednesday.
The identity of the driver isn’t being released at this time pending notification of family members.
According to the Uxbridge Police Department, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree and utility pole.
The Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council [CEMLEC] Collision Reconstruction team will assist with the investigation, and National Grid will need to replace the severed utility pole.
The incident remains under investigation, and the roadway is closed to public travel at this time. Motorist are asked to avoid the area.
