Vehicle Crash into Shrewsbury Home Causes Gas Leak

SHREWSBURY – A pickup truck on Rt. 20 in Shrewsbury crashed into a parked car outside a home at Bellingham Way on Friday, March 12, around 11 PM. The impact of the crash pushed the parked vehicle into a home, causing substantial damage.

Individuals inside the home did not sustain injuries. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene.

The crash caused significant damage to the parked vehicle. The home sustained structural damage, several broken windows and damaged the gas meter, causing a leak.

Eversource responded to the incident and shut off gas flow to the home. Shrewsbury Fire Department officials later ensured home was safe from any gas related danger.

Police in Shrewsbury seek the driver for questioning about the crash.
