The City of Very Beach has wrapped the poles along the Barber Bridge in purple ribbons. in a sign of respect for the families of the Holy Cross women’s rowing team.
According to the Vero Beach Police Department, the purple ribbon is a sign of respect for the families of the Holy Cross Rowing Team. The teddy bear is to represent the life of Grace Rett.
As reported earlier in the week, the Holy Cross Women’s Rowing team was travelling in Vero Beach. Florida when one of the team vans was involved in a serious accident. Wednesday morning .
Eleven people were transferred to the hospital due to the crash, some by life flight..

A 20-year-old sophomore and world record holder, Grace Rett, was killed in the accident.
On Thursday evening Maegan Moriarty, a senior, was released from the hospital. Five team members and a coach remain hospitalized.
