Violent Fugitive Wanted for Attempted Murder Arrested in Auburn

AUBURN - A fugitive wanted for attempted murder and rape charges was arrested on Tuesday in Auburn after being located by an Auburn Police officer.

Reginald F. Neville, 21, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., was stopped while driving a 2009 Blue Hyundai Tucson in the parking lot of Ira Ford car dealership on Rt. 20. around 3 PM. Neville surrendered peacefully.

According to the Auburn Police Department, Officer Luis Santos was acting on a BOLO from the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension section when he located Neville’ vehicle.

Neville was wanted for attempted murder and possession of weapon (firearm) during a violent crime (rape) out of Horry County Police Department in South Carolina.

Neville was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday morning on a Fugitive from Justice charge and will eventually be returned to South Carolina.
