A Cape Cod League baseball team has told Boston Herald that they believe one of the Worcester Red Sox team logos infringes their trademark.
Glen Hannington, senior vice president of the Wareham Gatemen, said the team’s board has approved legal action against the Worcester Red Sox should they refuse to change the logo.
Hannington also noted that organizations can lose their exclusive rights if they fail to respond to unauthorized use.
The two teams have not been in contact with each other. The Worcester Red Sox declined to comment until they heard from Gatemen staff.
