Maine Man Arrested on Firearm, Drug Charges in Worcester

WORCESTER – Worcester Police arrested a man on Wednesday with an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Maine.

According to the Worcester Police Department, an officer saw Jordan Waterman, 31, walking on Main Street on Wednesday. When the officer with a K-9 unit exited the cruiser, Waterman ran.

K-9 Beebs forced Waterman to run back toward the officers, where Waterman ignored commands and began a physical confrontation with officers.

Additional officers arrived on the scene and helped secure a firearm Waterman possessed. Waterman was also wearing body armor.

After being arrested, the department says officers also located bags containing a white substance they believe is narcotics in Waterman’s possession.

Jordan Waterman, 31, of Lewiston, Maine faces charges of:

  • Firearm Use in a Felony; Resisting Arrest;
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm;
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License;
  • Use of Body Armor in a Felony;
  • Disorderly Conduct;
  • Fugitive from Justice Warrant; and
  • Possession Of Class A with intent to Distribute.
