 by Heather CameronMay 21, 2022

The temperature is rising this weekend. How will you turn up the heat on your weekend plans?

Check out ThisWeekinWorcester.com’s list of five events happening this weekend. Make your Saturday and Sunday plans just as hot as the weather.

Enjoy the outdoors and the unseasonably warm weather by joining a festival all about vegetables or stay indoors and take a class to learn a new skill.

Get creative on Sunday!

Join Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness to make your own stained glass Dragonfly with Jena! This class starts at 12 PM and it is an introduction to stained glass to learn the basics of copper foil-stained glass.

The class will involve scoring and breaking glass, foiling, and soldering. At the end of the class, you will have a 3D dragonfly sun catcher. This class involves working with sharp glass and hot materials and is appropriate for people 16+.

There is a $10 materials fee to join the class.

Knock one out of the park this weekend!

Head over to Polar Park this weekend for their Girl Scout Night!

Join in on a day at Polar Park with the Worcester Red Sox! Girl Scouts can participate in pregame activities on the Berm to earn their Worcester Red Sox commemorative patch, step onto the field for a pregame Girl Scout Parade, play catch on the field following the game, and have an opportunity to camp in the outfield overnight and watch a movie under the stars!

Game tickets are $30, and game and overnight tickets are $35.

Make your food look as good as it tastes!

Plan a Sunday Funday at Brimfield Winery. This Sunday, they will be holding a Charcuterie workshop from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. During the class, you will learn how to arrange a beautiful spring charcuterie board which will be led by instructor Kymberly. You will be able to keep the 10" palm leaf platter and you will receive a free beverage or wine tasting flight paired with the class.

Get the girls together on Saturday!

Saturday is Ladies Night at MB Lounge in Worcester! DJ Lary will be mixing up your favorite tunes and their bartenders will be serving some amazing cocktails. Come dance the night away with friends and be entered to win door prizes.

Pay homage to the plants we eat!

This Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM, Worcester State University is hosting New England VegFest 2022.
