June is here and it’s arriving with sunshine and hot weather! Set the first weekend of the month on fire with exciting opportunities near you.

ThisWeekinWorcester.com has your list of five fun events happening this weekend. The city is serving up fantastic in-person events that will ignite your interest in your new hobbies or simply spark joy in your life.

Spend your Saturday and Sunday tasting new foods and drinks, or discover great learning opportunities for your loved ones.

Give your tastebuds a new experience!

Check out the latest addition to the Worcester area by visiting The Sunflower Shanty at Houlden Farm in North Grafton this weekend.

The Sunflower Shanty is a pop-up dining experience that has a focus on sustainability, and it opens this Friday. Every Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM, Saturday from 11 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM, the team behind the Boston pizza restaurant, The Flatbread Company, will be dishing up delicious flatbread pizza with an outdoor beer garden.

Enjoy the food and all the seasonal activities like a playground, farm animals, pick your own fruit, and much more!

Plan a memorable weekend for the whole family!

Davis Farmland in Sterling is hosting family friendly fun all weekend long.

On Saturday, spark your children’s interest for construction vehicles by allowing them to climb on a dump truck, loader, bulldozer, golf carts, and more.

Come again on Sunday to learn and even help shear the sheep on the farm. General admission tickets are $24.95 and must be purchased online in advance.

Start your engines and get ready for an exciting event on the water!

This Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and this Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM, bring your jet skis to Memorial Beach in Webster.

You can get out on the water and have a splash by pre-registering to join their jet ski racing event! This race is themed as the 80’s, so find your best and brightest waterproof wardrobe for an event you will not want to miss.

Relax with a drink in hand this Sunday.

Go out to brunch this Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Muse Bar and Kitchen for their Sip N’ Shop event.

Fill your plate with sweet pancakes from their pancake boards and other items from their breakfast menu, and fill your glasses with cocktails or Bloody Marys.

All the while, browse and shop from local vendors.

Celebrate National Donut Day this weekend!

Celebrate the quirky holiday with delicious donuts and treats for your furry companions. Stop by ConnectED & Inspired at 1048 South Main Street in Bellingham for their Donut Sundaes and Doggy Donut Paint Kits!

For $30, you will be able to treat yourself to a delicious dessert with ice cream and toppings of your choice and you will receive a Dog and Donut paint kit with video instructions to take home and enjoy at your leisure
