5 Great Ways to Spend Your Weekend in Worcester

This weekend is packed with huge events! Most schools are finishing classes, Father’s Day is kicking off Sunday, and Juneteenth is being recognized.

Take a look at ThisWeekinWorcester.com’s list of five activities happening this weekend. With opportunities to celebrate this Saturday and Sunday, you will be able to attend all the festivities. 

Fill up your schedule with fun to recognize all these huge occasions. Treat your father to a special day at a museum or head to Institute Park to acknowledge an important day. 

Treat your furry friends to a paw-some time this weekend! 

Get your dogs’ tails wagging this Saturday at Polar Park for Bark in the Park.

Starting at 4:05 PM, your pet is allowed into the park for “un-fur-gettable” fun. Tickets are $23, and include a bandana and a dog friendly pregame parade. 

Make special plans for Father’s Day!

Celebrate Father’s Day this weekend at the American Heritage Museum in Hudson.

Many of the Collings Foundation’s classic automobiles will be out in an automobile presentation at 1 PM. The automobile collection has over 25 rare automobiles from 1900 through 1946. Historic aircraft and tanks will also be on display.

Tank Driving Experiences and Tank Rides Available. You can even drive a tank at their Tank Driving experiences and Tank Rides. You must register in advance to drive the tank. 

Make your children’s dreams come true! 

Trucks are some of children’s favorite toys, and now your child will get the experience to board a big one.

This Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM, join in on Big Truck Day in Grafton. Grafton Recreation is holding this event and you can climb aboard different big rigs. This a free event. 

Juneteenth Flag Raising at City Hall

Commemorate history this weekend.

Juneteenth is this Sunday. To observe the day, join the Black Heritage –  Juneteenth Festival Committee on Saturday. At noon there will be the second Annual Juneteenth Flag Raising outside of Worcester City Hall. During this event, Christon Carney, will perform Lift Every Voice and Sing.  

Altruist Brewing Company will be giving your dad a break this weekend. 

Celebrate Father’s Day at Altruist Brewing Company’s Father’s Day Cook Out.

The Brewery will be open from 12 PM to 6 PM, and the festivities start at 1 PM. Spend the day  with some great local craft beer, smoked meats, and BBQ from Black Sheep Bah-Bah-Q. Enjoy your meal with live music from The Moonlight Saints!
