Can August be any more awesome than it already is? The answer is yes!

ThisWeekinWorcester.com has your list of five fun events taking place this weekend that will prove that August can –  and will – get better every week.

This month is full of fantastic events, and this Saturday and Sunday there are five parties being thrown this weekend and you can attend each of them! Find the bash that’s right for you, join in on a country Hoedown or bring the whole family to a library for a huge shindig!

Get out of the city and enjoy the country for a night!

You are invited to a country Hoedown this weekend! This Saturday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Davis Farmland is throwing a 21+ Hoedown, so you can party cowboy style!

Indulge in an all you can eat BBQ included in your ticket and purchase craft beers or seltzers. You’ll also be able to cuddle and take pictures with the endangered farm animals. Be sure to dress in your country gear because there will be a prize for best country wear!

Tickets are $55 per person.

No plans for the weekend? Why not go to the library for a party!

That’s right, the Worcester Public Library is throwing a block party. Join them this Saturday 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM for their second annual community block party.

There will be free fun activities and entertainment as well as food trucks and vendors! Some of the free performances and programs include Magic Fred’s Magic Show, DJ Chuck Chillin, and East Coast Entertainment Photo Booth. They will also have over 60 vendors including crafts, non-profits, kids programs, and so much more!

Parking is free during the block party.

Make your weekend all about Family fun!

Polar Park is opening its doors for their Family Day that everyone will love! There will be lots of entertainment lined up and the event is free!

The excitement starts on Sunday at 12 PM. All day, there will be big prizes, face painting, inflatables, games, food, and more! While you’re there, take a lap on the field and get your picture taken with the WooSox mascot, Smiley Ball.

The first 500 people at the event will receive a $5 voucher for the concessions stand.

Treat yourself to fresh food this weekend!

Every Saturday morning from now to Sept. 3, you can visit Marlborough’s Farmers Market. The market is hosted by Lost Shoe Brewing & Roasting Company, and it is located behind Marlborough City Hall on Weed Street.

The Farmers Market features fresh produce, specialty food vendors, artisans and live music.
