Fall will feel like its right around the corner this weekend, especially with school starting for students and August coming to an end. With the last weekend of August here, how will you send off the month?

Fill up your weekend with all kinds of excitement in the Worcester area! Take it slow this weekend – have a drink or make a flower arrangement to enjoy the easy pace of summer a little longer.

 

Learn how to keep all your furry friends safe this weekend! 

Sign up for Pet Emergency Education’s Pet CPR and First Aid Certification class on Saturday morning Registration for the event is $69.95. It includes canine and feline CPR and First Aid, including how to take vital signs, how to properly transport sick animals, and much more.

You can also expect two CPR certification cards, an official certificate, an 88-page manual, and more.  

 

Timberyard is serving up all kinds of fun this Saturday!

Timberyard Brewing Company, located at 555 East Main Street in East Brookfield, is inviting you to plant at a Succulent Bar! Stop by between 11 AM to 3 PM to put together your own succulent arrangement. Plant Bar prices start at $15. If you don’t like to get your hands dirty, you can purchase pre-potted succulents. 

 

Put together a bag of clothes for Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness’ clothing swap!

Bring a bag full of adult or children clothing in clean usable condition. You can distribute your clothes to assigned tables, and fill up your bag with a wardrobe from another participant!

Any remaining clothes will be donated to charity. You can also bring shoes to donate to SOLES4SOULS. 

 

Honk your horns for fun!

Drive down to Wojcik’s Farm in Blackstone for their Farm Cruise Night on Saturday. From 5 PM to 9 PM, car owners and enthusiasts will love their car show. Buckle up for a great time with food trucks, live music, vendors, raffles, and more. There will be a $10 parking fee; make sure to come early for a good spot since it will fill up fast! 

 

Celebrate the return of Worcester Caribbean American Carnival’s block party!

The Worcester Caribbean American Carnival is hosting their “Freedom” Jamboree block party on Sunday at 455 Main Street in downtown Worcester.

The party includes live music, dancing, vendors, food and more!
