Summer isn’t – technically – over yet, Worcester!

Embrace the end of the season by planning a trip to the city this weekend. Get outdoors and breathe in the fresh air while the weather is warm and the events are heating up.

ThisWeekinWorcester.com has your list of five amazing events to spend your weekend. Whether you tune in for a virtual festival or travel to local stops around the city, you will surely have plenty of fun this weekend. Support your local community, get your blood pumping with some exercise, or admire an art exhibition to end the summer season.

Appreciate the arts this weekend!

This weekend, ArtsWorcester is holding member’s exhibition The Eighth One through November 8!

This is their largest and loudest exhibit all year long and with plenty of opportunities to see the artwork of local artists, you can visit the exhibits over and over again! Artists are allowed to submit one piece of artwork of any theme to add to the exhibition. Artists can receive prizes for their artwork.

Visitors are able to see the art Thursdays through Sundays from 12 PM to 5 PM. Only ten people are allowed in the gallery at once and all social distance regulations must be followed.

Join a festival that is guaranteed to be “pawesome!”

Your pets will be wagging their tails for the 22nd Annual Pet Rock Festival. This event is usually held in North Grafton, but this year, you can be part of the fun online for their “fur-tual” event.

The live stream takes place this Sunday from 12 PM to 3 PM on their Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. There will be interviews with animal welfare organizations, musical acts, and politicians discussing animal welfare legislation.

Viewers can look forward to the per video contest online for a chance to win prizes from Ellie’s Pet Barn and John Paul Pet.

Stretch out the stress from the week!

Get a ticket to Yoga at Green Hill Park for a morning of meditation and exercise.

Hosted by Warrior Wonderful, the yoga class starts at 9 AM this Saturday and will have features to engage beginners and challenge more experienced yogis. Pre-registration is necessary and attendees must wear masks upon arriving and leaving. Tickets cost $15 per person.

Honk your horns for an event you won’t want to miss!

Drive over to Wachusett Mountain this Saturday at 11 AM for their Cruisin’ Cars event. People are encouraged to show their unique cars, including muscle cars, old classics, new classic, and foreign made ones!

There is a max limit of 20 cars in the show, so make sure to email ahead of time to reserve a spot.

Spread the word for a great cause!

This Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM, Kits for Kids will be having a free drive thru event. Kits for Kids is an organization that supplies children in need with kits for everyday essentials like toys, clothes, and hygiene products.

They will be distributing kits for all kids ages 3 to 18 in the greater Marlborough area. The event is free and will be held at Al Brodeur’s Auto Body at 412 South street in Marlborough.
