5 Great Ways to Spend Your Weekend in Worcester

This weekend marks mid-October. Don’t fret though, there is plenty of time to fit in all your fall favorites. 

Celebrate the season with fall flavor themed festivities and activities to keep you outside to admire the beautiful leaves and the refreshingly crisp air. 

 

Wholesome fun for the family is just a short drive away! 

This Saturday, join in on festivities in Southwick. The Southwick Civil Fund at Southwick Town Hall is holding their 16th annual October festivities.

From 1 PM to 9 PM, be amazed by the lineup of wonderful events like a farm parade and fireworks! 

 

What does Autumn in New England look like? 

Green, red, and yellow – just like all the apples ripe, ready to cook and eat! Enjoy the tastes of fall on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM at Applefest at Wachusett Mountain.

Applefest will be celebrating a favorite flavor for fall with vendors and lots of food. 

 

Pick up your paint brushes to make a masterpiece! 

Spend your Saturday at a Halloween inspired paint night.

From 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, head to the Enchanted Gift Loft in Oxford for their Starry Nightmare painting class. Learn how to paint Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Tickets for adults are $35 and tickets for children are $25. 

 

Get artsy this Saturday! 

This Saturday is National Paint your own Pottery Day! The best way to observe this holiday is to attend Art on the Rocks’ paint your own pottery event.

Art on the Rocks in Leominster will be open from 12 PM to 8 PM. If you are one of the first 50 customers, you can paint for free. 

 

Have fun and support a good cause!

Drive over to Bemis Farm in Spencer for their Build a Scarecrow, Make a Difference event!

Support the Leicester Raiders by having family fun as you create your own scarecrow. The price is $25 if you preregister and it is $35 at the door.
