All the Things You Need to Do this Weekend in Worcester

WORCESTER – Fourth of July weekend might be over, but the celebration does not have to be! Though there is no holiday to use as an excuse for your weekend plans this week, there is still an open weekend and lots of events to take advantage of.

Sad Summer Festival

Woochella wasn’t enough? Make your way to the Palladium Outdoors at 261 Main Street for the Sad Summer Festival on Sunday, July 14. This festival features artists The Maine, Mayday Parade, State Champs, The Wonder Years, Four Year Strong, Mom Jeans, Stand Atlantic, and Just Friends. Doors open at 12PM and the event begins at 1:30PM. Tickets are between $37-$40 and can be purchased here.

 

Mass Pirates Arena Football Game: NFL Night

Calling all local Worcester sports fanatics!

This Saturday, July 13, the Massachusetts Pirates will be playing the Jacksonville Sharks at 7:15PM in the DCU Center. If you wear any NFL jersey or a Pirates jersey, you can receive a 15% discount off of your ticket at the box office! 

Storytime and Activities Celebrating the Lion King

Looking for a kid-friendly event this weekend? Bring the family to the Barnes & Noble in Lincoln Plaza, 541 D Lincoln Street in Worcester for Storytime and Activities Celebrating the Lion King! With the new movie coming out soon, this is a great opportunity to get the family excited about the premiere. Head over on Saturday, July 13 at 11PM. Lights for Liberty

Are you looking to fight for a great cause this weekend? On Friday, July 12 at 8PM in the upper parking lot of 661 Main Street in Worcester, there will be a silent vigil to end human detention camps and protest the conditions that refugees face. Be Kind Rewind – 90’s Night

This Friday, July 12, celebrate the decade of the 90’s! The Pavilion at the Beer Garden, 66 Franklin Street in Worcester, is hosting the throwback party of the year – a tribute to the 90’s. The event starts at 8PM and $10 tickets can be purchased here.
