All the Things You Need to Do this Weekend in Worcester

November is kicking off with a three day weekend in honor of Veterans Day.

ThisWeekinWorcester.com has put together a list of five ways to spend your long weekend. 

The Palladium is getting heavy this weekend.

From Saturday at 4 PM to Sunday at 1 AM, NV Concepts & Above the Sky Productions Present Heavy Fest: Chapter Two at the Worcester Palladium. Some bands that will perform include All That Remains, Zomboy, Saving Vice, and B2B. 

All heavy music lovers must be 18 or older.

Pop into the Worcester PopUp for some delicious food.

On Saturday, bring your appetite to the Taste of the Food Hub at The Worcester PopUp on 20 Franklin Street. From 10 AM to 1 PM, the Food Hub will be serving the best of Worcester’s restaurants as a tasty treat for visitors and food gifts for the holidays. 

Some participating restaurants include JP’s Twisted BBQ & Grille, Peg’s Preserves, Noms, Kay’s Kitchen, and more.

Sesame Street is coming to Lincoln Street!

The Barnes and Noble at Lincoln Plaza 541 D, Lincoln Street is hosting a family event called Storytime and Activities Featuring the “Monster at the End of This Book” and “People in Your Neighborhood”  on Saturday at 11 AM. These books include children’s favorite Sesame Street characters, including Grover!

Tone your body at the Beer Garden.

This Saturday join Rachel from Barre Journey for a six week fitness series exercise. This series started November 2 and continues until December 14 and takes place every Saturday at 10 AM on the pavilion of the Beer Garden.

The workouts are geared to participants of all levels and incorporate pilates, yoga, and functional training.

Have Tea with a Hanover Theater Celebrity!

This Sunday, the Hanover Theater is hosting a Cookies and Tea with Clara event, a meet-and-greet with the lead character in The Nutcracker.

During this hour event, Clara will read the story of “The Nutcracker” and engage the children with dancing and a tea party. Tickets are $20 and include the tea party, chances to take pictures with Clara, a signed letter from Clara, and a chance to win Clara’s pointe shoes.
