WORCESTER – Over the better part of 2022, the City of Worcester delivered new 22-gallon recycling containers with vented covers to each residence across the city.

The new recycling buckets have covers to help prevent materials from blowing out onto the street. The bins are also labeled with instructions on what materials should be recycled using the bins and which should not.

Worcester residents in need of a new, additional or replacement city recycling bin can pick them up at three locations:

  • City Hall, 455 Main Street, 1st Floor Welcome Desk: Monday – Friday 9 AM to 4 PM (not available from 12 PM – 12:3o PM)
  • DPW, 20 East Worcester Street, 2nd Floor Welcome Desk: Monday – Friday 9 AM to 4 PM (not available from 12 PM – 12:30 PM)
  • Residential Drop-Off Center, 1065 Millbury Street: : Monday – Friday 9 AM – 3 PM (not available from 12 PM – 12:30 PM)

New or replacement containers are available free of charge. Additional containers are $12 each.
