LEOMINSTER – A 20-year-old woman was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Leominster on Monday morning, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. .
The woman was struck by the train at 11:16 AM nearly a mile before the North Leominster MBTA station.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident.
The detectives were assisted at the scene by State Police Crime Scene Services and Leominster Police.
The name of the deceased will not be released until family is notified.
