WORCESTER – A Worcester woman was arrested on Sunday afternoon after being found in a car that was last seen at a restaurant in Auburn.

According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], 37-year-old Jessica Jordan was arrested for receiving a stolen motor vehicle and an outstanding warrant.

Around 1:30 PM on Sunday, officers were called to the Bank of America parking lot at 945 Grafton St. for a report of a stolen vehicle that had been located.

The vehicle — a Volvo sedan — was reported stolen from Yong Shing Restaurant in Auburn. A friend of the car theft victim recognized the vehicle and called the police.

Police approached Jordan and she couldn’t tell the officers why she had the vehicle. A check of the Criminal Justice Information System [CJIS] showed Jordan’s outstanding warrant.

She will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
