After a few years in the video game industry, Yenni Desroches knew it wasn’t her calling. She had always loved animals, and enjoyed connecting with and caring for them. Looking for a way she could be around them more, she opened Next Level Pet Care and turned her love of caring for animals into a unique service business that offers everything from dog walking to wedding and event services that will keep your pets happy while you are away. Yenni spoke about her passion for pets with This Week In Worcester, and shared how she turned her love for animals into thriving business.

Can you share with us a bit about your business and how you got started?
“I founded Next Level Pet Care in August of 2014 after three years in the video game industry. I was burnt out, depressed, and lonely. I had worked with pets in college and have always loved them. I decided to start looking for ways to be around pets again, adding their love back into my life. I took classes in Pet CPR/First aid, Canine Body Language, Feline Body Language, Animal Care & Behavior, and more, to improve my knowledge of animals. While my first love was dogs, I love and take care of all kinds of pets, including exotics, fish, reptiles, birds; anything that can be considered a pet or backyard farm animal. Our pets can’t speak for themselves, so knowing how to help them isn’t always easy, but I enjoy being the “go to” person for a lot of people I know as a resource for advice or referrals, even if that person doesn’t use our services. Our motto at Next Level Pet Care is “Enriching Pet’s Lives, One Household at a Time!”

What brought you to Ladies Night Out Worcester and what do you like about it?
“I don’t remember how I found out about the event, but at the time I was signing up for pretty much anywhere I could have a booth. I came back this year because of how much I thoroughly enjoyed Ladies Night Out Worcester. The women who attended were very friendly and happy to chat. The other vendors were also great to meet. It’s a year later and I’m still meeting people that remember meeting me there. It’s one of the few events I’m continuing to do as I scale back. Not only because of how fun it is, but because of how much it connected me with other people.”

Where can people interested in purchasing your work, product, or service, find you?
“I can be found on Facebook and Instagram @NextLevelPetCare, on our website or by phone/text 508-556-0656. They can also find me at my booth where we’ll be raffling off free visits.”
