The Worcester Red Sox inaugural season — scheduled to begin on April 6 — will be delayed at least a month, according to a report by ESPN.
The report says that Major League Baseball [MLB] sent a memo out to teams on Tuesday, March 2. The league memo informed teams that that the start of the Triple-A baseball season will now start around the same time Double-A and Class A seasons in May.
Triple-A teams expect the schedule to now run into September to make up lost games in March.
