WORCESTER – Worcester Police responded to a reported home break-in on Friday, November 5 where residents found an unknown man sleeping inside their residence early in the morning.
Police received the call from a Hartshorn Road residence just before 5:50 AM on Friday morning. The residents told police they woke to find the man sleeping on their couch.. When a resident yelled, the man got up and ran from the house.
The residents then noticed their car keys and a wallet were missing from the home. They also saw about 20 bags of what appeared to be cocaine and a pipe next to the couch where they found the man sleeping.
Officers broadcast a description of the man over the police radio. Around one minute later, officers located a man matching the provided description at Chandler Street and June Street.
Officer evidence linking the man, Shaun Perry, 35, of Worcester, to the residence and arrested him.
Perry faces charges of:
- Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime with Intent to Commit a Felony;
- Larceny from a Building;
- Possession of a Class B Substance with intent to Distribute.
