WORCESTER – A man arrested in Worcester on Tuesday, January 7, faces charges for distribution of fentanyl.
According to the Worcester Police Department (WPD), officers were investigating near the intersection of Park Avenue and Pleasant Street when they saw a vehicle pull into the parking lot of a Gulf Gas Station. The operator appeared to be waiting for someone there.
Soon after, a Honda pulled into the same lot and parked next to the previous vehicle. The man from the first eventually entered the Honda.
As officers approached the vehicle, the driver of the Honda, James Ward, 27 attempted to flee the scene, but was soon detained.
Police learned of three active warrants for Woods.
Officers arrested Woods, who faces charges for the outstanding warrants, and new charges of Distribution of a Class A Substance, Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Resisting Arrest.
