Worcester 2020 Census Campaign Kickoff is Tonight

WORCESTER – The College of the Holy Cross will play host to the City of Worcester’s official Census 2020 campaign kickoff on Thursday evening.

The event will take place at the Hogan Campus Center Ballroom at 5 PM and will feature music, dancing and a “Best of Worcester Exhibition.”

Those in attendance will be provided with general information about the Census as well as an opportunity to learn about available Census jobs.

City Manager Edward Augustus and Mayor Joe Petty have created a Complete Count Committee for the 2020 Census.

The Complete Count Committee, composed of city, state and federal officials as well as community leaders, will aim to increase awareness and motivate residents to respond to the 2020 Census.

Members of the Complete Count Committee will work on forming subcommittees with non-profits, community organizations, universities and religious organizations to facilitate the distribution of important information, answer questions, advertise Census jobs, perform community outreach and host Census-related events.
