4th Delivery Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Worcester

WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Department (WPD) is investigating the armed robbery of a food delivery driver on Thursday, Dept. 5.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on Lund Street shortly after 1 AM. Upon arriving at the scene, the delivery driver told police that he was delivering pizza when two men approached him and demanded money.

One man had a firearm in his hand during the incident. The suspects left with cash and did not hurt the man.

As This Week in Worcester previously reported, three armed robberies of food delivery drivers took place over a seven-day period in Worcester, from Aug. 12 to Aug. 18.

All four incidents are under investigation be the Worcester Police Department Detective Bureau.
