WORCESTER – On Monday, Dec. 4 the American Basketball Association released its updated league power rankings and have listed the Worcester 78’s (6-0) as the #2 team in the country.

Coming off their sixth victory on the season Saturday against the Springfield Spring, 140-120, the 78’s are now averaging nearly 140 points per game and are being led by guard Tony Gallo who is averaging 32 points per game.

The team has seven players averaging double digits in scoring — including four players averaging more than 20 points per game [Gallo, guard Jaleel Bell (23.8), guard Kamahl Walker (21.8) and guard Lee Vazquez (21.2)].

The 78’s next game is Saturday, Dec. 9 versus the New Jersey Express at the Boys & Girls Club at 65 Tainter St. in Worcester.
