WORCESTER – Local artist Glenn Ferraro has recently been creating fan art for more than just himself.

He’s sharing his creativity and talent with fans of his work and celebrities who he looks up to such as actor Brian O’Halloran whose character “Dante” in the 1994 cult classic Clerks, has inspired him to pursue painting.

Ferraro got a Twitter shout-out from O’Halloran for Ferraro’s painting of Dante that now hangs in the Quick Stop where Clerks was filmed in New Jersey.

Since having his painting being showcased in the Quick Shop, Ferraro has contacted O’Halloran to create him another painting inspired by the Clerks movie of the actor himself.

“We were messaging back and forth on social media and I told [O’Halloran] that I was a huge fan of him. I wanted to send him a painting and he accepted,” said Ferraro.

This exciting news also gave Ferraro the chance to accept some signed DVDs and memorabilia from O’Halloran.

During the pandemic he has been staying positive, hanging out with family, and keeps painting.

“With keeping busy with painting, I’ve been branching out more to do non-comicy paintings,” Ferraro said. “I’m striving to do more life-like paintings. I’ve been making new paintings such as a John Wick one for a fan who’s reached out to me on social media.”

Ferraro said he’s also working on a Universal Frankenstein painting. With all the recent buzz around Ferraro’s talent for painting and passion for Clerks, he’s expressed how cool it is to see his hard work paying off.

“It’s cool to see your name out there and be recognized for your work,” he said.
