WORCESTER – On Thursday, Sept. 14, the City of Worcester will host the official launch of the ofo Bike Share program.
City Manager Edward M. Augustus, Jr., Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Timothy P. Murray, City Councilor Kate Toomey and Cedric Pan of ofo US, will speak at the launch.
The event begins at 11 AM on the Worcester Common behind City Hall. A community safety ride will be held immediately following the event.
ofo, founded in 2014, is the world’s largest bike-sharing platform and has connected more than eight million bicycles across 170 cities in nine countries.
The company will bring 400 bikes to Worcester and charge $1 per hour for their use.
