Out of 32 winter vacation destinations, Worcester has been ranked as the worst place to spend your holidays.
In their most recent study — 2019’s Best Winter Holiday Destinations — the data experts at WalletHub studied nearly 70 metro areas and divided the list among “cold” and “warm” cities.
They then ranked the cities across 37 metrics including two weeks of flight data, safety indicators, weather predictions, scenic quality, cost and convenience of traveling to each location, affordability, number of attractions and variety of activities.
Out of 32 cities, Worcester ranked in the bottom five in four major categories: travel costs and hassles [#32], highest local costs [#28], fewest attractions [#30], and fewest cold weather activities [#29].
The top five cold-weather destinations in the ranking are:
- Chicago
- Washington, D.C.
- Atlanta
- Philadelphia
- Denver
Boston came in #6 overall.
