WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Detective Bureau seeks help from the public in the investigation of three incidents of food delivery drivers being robbed at gunpoint. The three incidents took place between Aug. 12 and Aug. 18.
A delivery driver told police that on Monday, Aug. 12, he arrived at an address on Lund Street, where two men approached. When the driver attempted to give them change, on displayed a firearm. The two men left the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
Another driver told police he arrived on Doane Street on Thursday, Aug. 15, just before midnight, when two men approached him. One man displayed a firearm and demanded the driver’s keys. The two men left in the driver’s vehicle. The driver’s iPhone, wallet, and a small amount of cash were inside the vehicle.
A third driver told police he arrived on Esther Street at around 9:50 PM on Aug. 18, where when two men approached him. One displayed a firearm, leaving the scene with an iPhone and an undetermined amount of cash.
There were no injuries reported for any of the drivers involved in these incidents.
The Worcester Police Department says that it is unknown if the same individuals carried out all three robberies.
