WORCESTER – An existing dog park, softball field and playground are among a list of proposed locations for site improvements at three city park areas.
Representatives from the City of Worcester Department of Public Works and Parks will go before the Conservation Commission on Monday, Dec. 30 to present notices of intent to make improvements and renovations at Lake View Playground, Beaver Brook Park and Great Brook Valley Park.
Here are the improvements and renovations being proposed at each park:
- Lake View Playground: Construct a new playground, basketball court, walkways, seating areas, stormwater infrastructure, and related sitework.
- Beaver Brook Park: Renovate the existing dog park by installing water service connections, water bottle filler, dog play equipment, trash receptacles, sitting area, resurfacing with stone and related sitework.
- Great Brook Valley Park: Renovate the existing softball field and construct new athletic courts, parking area, walkways, seating area, stormwater infrastructure and related sitework
