WORCESTER – The Superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) Colonel Geoffrey Noble announced a sobriety checkpoint in Worcester County from Thursday Dec. 12, to Friday, Dec. 13.
The MSP only announces the county in which such checkpoints will appear, as required by law.
According to the MSP, the purpose of the sobriety checkpoint is to “educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways.”
