A Worcester man faces an indictment in federal court for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Law enforcement arrested Barry Jumpp, 29, of Worcester, on Thursday, January 7, for an unrelated warrant.
Jumpp possessed a loaded 9mm firearm and 14 rounds of ammunition at the time of the arrest. Federal law prohibits him from possessing a firearm or ammunition due to a prior felony conviction.
The felon in possession charge provides for a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
