WORCESTER – Worcester residents take great pride in their St. Patrick’s Day celebration — whether its lining the streets of Park Avenue for the annual Worcester County St. Patrick’s Day parade or spending the holiday at Fiddler’s Green in the city’s Canal District or at O’Connor’s Restaurant on W. Boylston St. — and among other cities in America, Worcester stands out.

According to data from the experts at Wallethub, Worcester’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration ranks #46 among 200 U.S. Cities in their newest report: 2019’s Best Cities for St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations.

According to the report, Worcester is 3rd in the county for Highest % of Irish Population and 19th in the country for “St. Patrick’s Day Traditions” — which includes length of time parade has been held and the number of St. Patrick’s Day parties and festivities.
