WORCESTER – The Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section [MSP VFAS] began working with the Northborough Police Department on Wednesday, March 10, to locate a suspect wanted for an armed home invasion that occurred earlier that morning.
The MSP investigation led to a Cutler St. address in Worcester for a suspect, 26-year-old Tyler Rawson.
Troopers and officers with the Worcester Police Gang Unit searched the residence on Cutler St., but did not locate Rawson.
A Trooper noticed trash and a rolled-up rug on the roof of the building. Upon investigating, a Trooper located Rawson inside the rolled-up rug.
Troopers arrested Rawson without incident.
Law enforcement transported Rawson to the Worcester Police Department. He faces charges of:
- Home Invasion
- Breaking and Entering a Building in the Nighttime to Commit a Felony
- Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
- Making Threats
- Firearm and Ammunition Offenses
