WORCESTER – Early Tuesday morning — around 6 AM — officers from the Worcester Police Department [WPD] Accident Reconstruction Team responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

According to the WPD, the crash occurred near 300 St. Nicholas Ave. The initial investigation revealed that a 26-year-old male from Webster was traveling a 2002 Nissan Sentra on his way to work when he struck a 62-year-old Worcester man who was crossing the street.
The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation continues.
