52-Year-Old Worcester Man Arrested for Drug Distribution

WORCESTER - The Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team arrested a man near Main St. and King St. on Tuesday, February 16, after witnessing what they believed to be an illegal transaction.

Around 6:30 PM officers were conducting surveillance and witnessed Gilberto Andino, 52, of Worcester, standing at the intersection. Soon thereafter, he conducted a transaction with another man.

After moving in to detain Andino, police located bags which appeared to have cocaine inside. He was also in possession of an illegal knife.

Andino faces charges of:

  • Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.
