WORCESTER – Complaints of drug dealing activity led the Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team to conduct surveillance near Pleasant St. and Russell St. on Wednesday, March 17, around 12:30 PM, leading to an arrest.
Officers allege that Joel Ramos, 38, of Worcester, met a man behind a building in the area. The two engaged in a hand-to-hand transaction. The other man left the area with a clenched hand.
Police detained the man and found bags of what they believed to be Fentanyl in his possession. Police continued to monitor Ramos, who went to a nearby pickup truck and appeared to place a bag inside.
Officers soon stopped Ramos and discovered several bags of what appeared to be Fentanyl, leading to his arrest.
Ramos faces charges of Distribution of a Class A Substance, and Trafficking in Fentanyl over 10 grams.
