Worcester Man Facing 40 Years in Jail for Dealing 900 Grams of Cocaine

WORCESTER – A Worcester man was indicted by a grand jury in Worcester on Thursday for distributing cocaine.

According to the Dept. of Justice, Julio Rivera, 45, was charged with one count of 500 grams or more of cocaine.

Court documents reveal that Rivera distributed 900 grams of cocaine to another man at a self-storage facility on Nov. 1, 2018.

Rivera faces a sentence of up to 40 years in prison, a minimum of four years and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of $5 million. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
