WORCESTER – A shooting on Almont St. just before midnight on Saturday, July 4, left a 24-year-old man in serious condition and Leroy Thompson, 25, of Worcester facing charges.
During the investigation, Worcester Police Department [WPD] learned that a verbal altercation had occurred among a group of people. Soon after, the victim was shot.
Thompson faces Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. charges in connection with the shooting.
According to WPD, the investigation is ongoing.
