WORCESTER – Leroy Thompson Jr., 25, of Worcester, is being indicted for several charges in connection with a shooting on Almont St. on July 5.
ThisWeekInWorcester.com had previously reported on the shooting and charges being filed against Thompson.
According to District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.’s office, Thompson argued with occupants of a vehicle over payment of a restaurant bill before the shooting occurred.
Joshua Lopez, 24, of Worcester, died on July 6, a day after being shot the day before while sitting in the backseat of a vehicle.
Thompson faces charges of Murder, Reckless Endangerment, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
