WORCESTER – Leonard Ngunjiri a/k/a Leonard Gitonga, 50, of Worcester was sentenced in federal court on Wednesday, July 1, to six months in prison and ordered to pay the IRS $406,407.
Ngunjiri pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion and five counts of failure to file a tax return.
Ngunjiri attempted to evade paying taxes from 2006 -2008 and 2011 through a number of schemes to hide his income. He also did not file tax returns from 2012 to 2017.
